Rare Gallet by Racine MultiChron Excel-O-Graph Model 5705 Chronograph with Large 43mm Case, Original Dial and Excelsior Park Swiss Movement. Triple Signed Gallet / Racine on the Dial, Case and Movement. The Excel-O-Graph was marketed as a “real mini-computer” with a slide rule bezel that allowed calculations for multiplication, division, speed, travel time and distance in addition to the normal 30 minute and 12 hour counter recording. The watch also can perform conversion of speed per hour into speed per minute and conversions or speed per second into speed per hour.

Description

Case:

Large Gold Plated Case with Stainless Steel Snap-back and Rotating Bezel. The angled rotating bezel index tapers down to the main dial and gives the watch added depth. Round Pushers Control the Chronograph. Top Pusher Starts and Stops the Chronograph and Bottom Pusher Resets Counters to Zero. Case is Signed Jules Racine & Co, Swiss.

Dial:

Original Finish Multi-Color Dial in Mint Condition. Lightly Aged Luminous Hour Markers and Matching Luminous Filled Gold Hands. 30 Minute Registers at 3:00. 12 Hour Recorder at 6:00 and Constant Seconds at 9:00. Added calculating features as indicated above using the rotating bezel. Dial Signed Gallet by Racine, Excel-O-Graph, Swiss Made.

Movement:

Swiss Made Excelsior Park Caliber 40-68, Seventeen Jewel, Manual Wind Chronograph Movement. Signed Gallet & Co Swiss and Stamped with the Gallet & Co., Swiss
