Fine example of a circa 1950 Britix Vintage Chronograph Watch With Original Dial, 34.5mm Case and Landeron 48 Manual Wind Movement.  Triple Signed Britix on the Dial, Case and Movement.  Some have discussed whether or not Britix had any relationship to Breitling and the only thing I can find is that both Britix and Breitling had a relationship with Wakmann in Manhattan which acted as their USA importer.

Description

Case:

Reference 190 chrome plated case with solid stainless steel back (Fond Acier Inoxydable). The case contours are very sharp and although there is high point wear they still have the original factory brush marks.  Sharp rectangle chronograph pushers.  Top pusher is for starting the chronograph.  Bottom pusher is for stopping and resetting the chronograph to zero.  Inside back signed Britix Watch Co, Swiss.

Dial:

Factory original silver dial in near mint condition.  Luminous hour markers and matching luminous insert blued steel hands.  Outer tachymeter scale in blue and telemeter scale in red.  Original fire engine red center chronograph hand.  Original blued steel register hands.   Dial signed Britix Chronographe and Swiss.

Movement:

17 Jewel Swiss made Landeron 48 manual wind chronograph movement in excellent running condition with all chronograph functions working correctly.  Signed Britix Watch Co, Swiss.  The import code VOS is stamped on the balance which according to Ranfft is the correct Britix import code.  This fine example of a Britix vintage chronograph has been recently serviced and is ready to wear.
