Before the Heuer/Clebar relationship there was the Breitling/Clebar relationship as evidenced by this early 1940’s example. This Breitling Chronomat is co-branded Breitling/Clebar on the dial and is signed Clebar on the Movement. The movemant also has the initials KXF on the balance which is the Clebar Swiss Export Code. It’s stainless steel case has the Breitling Chronomat 769 reference number and a serial number which dates this watch to the early 1940’s.

Solid Stainless Steel Case with Rotating Bezel. Right Side Pushers Control the Chronograph. Top Pusher Starts and Stops the Chronograph and Bottom Pusher Resets Counters to Zero. Case is Signed with the Breitling Reference Number 769. The Serial Number Dates this Watch to the Early 1940’s.
Dial:
Original Two Tone Dial Signed Breitling and Clebar, Chronomat, and Swiss Made. 45 Minute Recorder Register at 3:00 and Constant Seconds at 9:00. Center Sweep Hand and 1/5 Second Graduation. Rotating Bezel and Red Scales is Read Clockwise while the Inner Scale are Read Counterclockwise.
Movement:
Venus Caliber 175 Swiss Made Manual Wind Chronograph Movement Signed Clebar Watch Co, Swiss. The Balance Cock is Signed with the Clebar Swiss Export Code KXF. The Movement has been Serviced and is in Excellent Running Condition.
