A close relative to the Seafarer chronograph, this Near Mint 36mm stainless steel vintage Abercrombie & Fitch Solunar watch was made by Heuer for Abercrombie & Fitch, who at the time was a supplier of rugged outdoor gear for sporting and exploration.  Heuer launched the Solunar in 1949 as the first watch with a tide indicator. It had an initial production run of 1,000 pieces.  The Solunar tells solar and lunar time and was marketed to hunters and fisherman who subscribed to the Solunar Theory or those who required tidal Tracking.  Read more about the Solunar Theory here.
