A close relative to the Seafarer chronograph, this Near Mint 36mm stainless steel vintage Abercrombie & Fitch Solunar watch was made by Heuer for Abercrombie & Fitch, who at the time was a supplier of rugged outdoor gear for sporting and exploration.  Heuer launched the Solunar in 1949 as the first watch with a tide indicator. It had an initial production run of 1,000 pieces.  The Solunar tells solar and lunar time and was marketed to hunters and fisherman who subscribed to the Solunar Theory or those who required tidal Tracking.  Read more about the Solunar Theory here. Abercrombie & Fitch was Founded in 1892 as an Elite Sporting and Expedition Retailer in New York City that Often Used Heuer to Manufacture their Line of Watches.  This Watch Appears to be From the Heuer 1936 Catalog with Dual Pusher Case #2 and Dial Option A. The Dial is Almost Exact with 1 Exception Being the Miles Base on the Telemeter as Opposed to Metric Kilometers Most Likely Due to the USA Market.
