Long gone are the days when you could bring your pre-1970’s watch to the local jewelry shop for cleaning and repair service.  Very few stores have the expertise to perform service on vintage mechanical timepieces.  That is why hundreds of customers from all over the world trust farfo.com each year to perform basic cleaning service or provide complete restoration service for their valued vintage timepiece.  Click here to see what our customers have to say.

We stock a large inventory of vintage watch parts and have access to watch material from many sources. Parts that are impossible to source can be custom made for your watch. We can repair basic manual wind watches or provide more complicated vintage chronograph repair service.

Service of your watch includes complete disassembly and overhaul of the watch movement. All components are ultrasonically cleaned using modern solvents.  Each part is inspected for wear. Any worn parts are repaired or replaced and the watch is oiled/lubricated and reassembled. The watch is electronically timed and tested to ensure it runs accurately for a period of 3-5 days. We perform overhaul service at a minimum. All other antique watch repair services performed are in addition to the movement service. All watch repair work is guaranteed for a full 12 months from the date of repair. Parts subject to normal wear, such as crystals, crowns, bracelets, etc. are not covered under warranty. Damage due to water, abuse or battery leaks are also not covered. Estimates are free and are usually given within 1 week of delivery. The watch owner only pays for shipping and insurance charges to transport the watch. Once you approve our estimate, simple cleanings usually take from 2-3 weeks. More complex jobs will take longer depending on the amount of work involved and availability of parts.
